Supportive Counselling
At Canadian Mental Health Association – Cariboo Chilcotin Branch, counselling services are here to support everyone. We offer free, ethical, confidential, Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) with the objective to empower our clients to move forward.
Family Solutions
Our counsellors utilize recognized approaches to facilitate growth and overcome mental health challenges. We are a trauma-informed practice that utilizes an attachment-based parenting approach when supporting the families we work with.
Connect Attachment Program Series Group
Connect is designed for all kinds of families. It addresses changes that occur between adults and teens and helps them keep their relationship strong and positive. Connect is for all families – it helps protect teens as they move forward in their journey to adulthood.
Interior Crisis Line Network
The Interior Crisis Line Network (ICLN) provides 24/7 non-judgmental support where our trained responders will be able to collaborate with a caller on safety/self-care plans, refer to local resources and provide a safe space to share.
Mental Health First Aid
MHFA Basic is intended for adults interacting with adults (18 years and older). This course focuses on the four most common mental health disorders including substance-related, mood-related, anxiety and trauma-related, and psychotic disorders. Participants who take this course are well prepared to interact confidently about mental health with their family, friends, communities, and workplaces.
